Sunday Sevens (20th September 2015)

sunday-sevens-new-logoThe Sunday Sevens series was created by Nat at Thread and Bobbins to share awesome and exciting things that don’t necessarily deserve a whole post of their own. I have lots and lots I want to share and hopefully this will be the perfect way.

So here goes my (sorry there’s going to be a few more than seven) Sunday Sevens for this week…

Number 1 – As promised here is a competed photo of the bike sculpture in London. I love it! Plus a bonus photo with some info about it 🙂

Number 2 – Peppermint tea and Simply Crochet magazine – a great way to pass an hour while I waited for Alex to finish work

Number 3 to well … I’m not even counting any more – HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! It’s my birthday today! I haven’t yet unwrapped my pressies or opened my cards as I spent this weekend (and my birthday) at Guide Camp (hence the late post) and although I’m exhausted now, it was so much fun! I just had a veerrrry long bath (about 2 hours!!) to get rid of “eau de camp” – that marvelous mix of campfire, cooking, sweat and the wonders that is not having a shower all weekend haha. Take a look at some of these pics …

This was our home for the weekend. The Hutch and Den at Belchamps.

We made pizza baguettes on Friday night and they were AMAZING!

Saturday morning when I came to look for my slippers I realised a slight mistake I made when packing.... that's the last time I pack half asleep!

After all the rain Friday night the rest of the weekend was glorious! Look at that sky.

Saturday afternoon I fancied washing my hair - bet you're all jealous of my facilities!

Saturday evening I sat down to do a bit of sewing ... then I went to the shop to buy a few more badges. It's a never-ending cycle.

Evenings were spent sewing … I bought more badges while there as well! It’s a never-ending cycle.

I traded a pack of M&Ms for a loss of my dignity when I let one of my Guides roll me around in the water walkers ... totally worth it!

The Guide's all made me a birthday card and threw me a party - so cute! Makes all the late night tantrums, cleaning arguments and warly morning moans completely worthwhile :)

They made all these decorations!

And that was my week 🙂 Not a lot of crochet/knitting, but definitely a lot of fun! Enjoy what is left of your Sunday evening and I’ll catch up with you all on Tuesday.

Happy Birthday! It looks like you have had a lovely birthday week; so thoughtful of the Guides to throw you a party. Your blanket looks great; are they all the badges you have collected?

Thank you! And oh yes it’s changed a lot! We do normally camp in tents we went upmarket for my birthday haha – hopefully they’re suitably worn out 🙂
