It’s Friday – yay!
This week, as well as cracking on with some Christmas gifts, I’ve been making a few squares for the Craft Club Yarnbombers, I shared with you last week (Friday Find (30th October 2015) – Let’s Help the Craft Club Yarnbombers Create a Christmas Tree) that the group are shouting out to knitters and crocheters to make squares to help them construct a 10ft Christmas tree. Super exciting!
My first square was a simple granny, but then I thought … why not take the time to practise a few different textures and techniques? I grabbed a few crochet books and had a flick through.
The next two squares I made were using a crochet rib stitch and a crossed stitch from the book Crochet The Complete Step-by-Step Guide. Here are my three so far:
I’ve already started making another square, this time from Jan Eaton’s book 200 Crochet Blocks, which I do love and used last year for some squares in my BAMCAL blanket.
My plan is to make as many squares as I can using this ball of green and as they need to reach the Craft Club by 26th November I should have plenty of time 🙂
You want to help out? Great! To find out where to send them email the club for the details: email@example.com.
