The Sunday Sevens series was created by Nat at Thread and Bobbins to share awesome and exciting things that don’t necessarily deserve a whole post of their own. I have lots and lots I want to share and hopefully this will be the perfect way.
This week has been a mix of making sure I rest and doing small activities so I don’t go crazy. I think it’s been a good mix 🙂
1 – We got a small bottle of cava from a caterer at one of the wedding shows we visited last weekend. This was enjoyed with dinner and made a lovely treat.
2 – I’ve been crafting some secret projects … even more secret than Christmas presents! Waiting for another yarn order of this lovely cotton though as I was just a few rows short, so I’ll hopefully be able to share this soon.
3 – Plenty of board games were played this week, including Guards! Guards! A game based on the Discworld series by Terry Prachett (forgot to take a photo as there were so many rules to learn). But here is a photo of our growing board game shelf. So many favourites on here including Zombicide, Fluxx (card game and board game versions), Settlers of Catan and Lost Woods.
4 – We received Lost Woods, a game we backed on Kickstarter, so cracked that open for a few rounds. I love it! The idea is to explore the woods, battling enemies with weapons you find, as you search for the exit and be the one to leave with the most gold. I won! Yay!
5 – A and I visited a lovely tea shop in town called Madhatters. I had a tasty Vanilla Green tea which had vanilla and caramel flavours mmmm.
6 – Some friends came over on Saturday for a tribute/board game night, where we watched Labyrinth in memory of David Bowie, and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Love Actually in memory of Alan Rickman … while also playing Ghostbusters, an awesome game my friends backed on Kickstarter.
7 – That brings me to today … a quiet day with some crochet and Netflix (watching Firefly again). But first, some breakfast. Today I had some breakfast muffins, which were so tasty! Recipe can be found here.
YUM! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
