The Sunday Sevens series was created by Nat at Thread and Bobbins to share awesome and exciting things that don’t necessarily deserve a whole post of their own. I have lots and lots I want to share and hopefully this will be the perfect way.
I don’t like to moan, but this has been another rough week … hence no full blog posts full of all the usual yarny goodness. I won’t bore you with the details but in short a medication change is causing me a lot of pain. I’ve spent much of the week in bed or asleep on the sofa… but in my waking moments I’ve taken a few snaps and played with some yarn.
1 – Last week I added the finishing touches to secret project number one and so this week I finally started to deliver them. Just two more to sort and then this will be revealed!
2 – I blocked secret project number two and it’s now packaged up ready to send. I love this one and am so proud of the final outcome. I forgot to take a before blocking picture … but the project really came together after this step. Was well worth the time it took to pin it out. Once this has been received I’ll share it with you 🙂
3 – Had a long journey to Norfolk for a funeral this week (a relative of A’s – it was a lovely service) and spent some of the drive starting Bridget the elephant from Edward’s Menagerie. I got a subscription to Simply Crochet for Christmas and this was the free gift. The yarn is so soft! But I forgot my stitch markers … yay for earrings. I think they look great with the yarn and may have to loan them to Bridget when she’s finished.
4 – A snap of the sky… can’t remember why or where, but it’s sunny! We’ve had a few sunny mornings this week and they looked pretty with the frost.
5 & 6 – After several days in bed I wasn’t going to miss the craft day that was booked with Mum on Saturday. I dosed up on the pain killers and we made some gorgeous roses! Again I’ll write more about this later… so much to write up. But here are our roses…
7 – Today I’m resting. I crashed out when I got home from the craft day… we had to pull over on the way home and I had to be helped pretty much pushed up the stairs. So today calls for cosy socks, blankets, lots of cushions, tea and some TV.
