Sunday Sevens (6th March 2016)

The Sunday Sevens series was created by Nat at Thread and Bobbins to share awesome and exciting things that don’t necessarily deserve a whole post of their own. I have lots and lots I want to share and hopefully this will be the perfect way.

Well good news is that my new new tablets are working … bad news is that it will take about six weeks to get me up to the dose I need. But the only way is up – YAY! So without further ado … here’s my week:

1 – Tarzan became an old man this week as he turned 2! I treated him to lots of goodies including a stick to encourage him to gnaw more (his teeth are too long), and a fun ball that I can hide food in for him to forage. Plus I treated myself to the Project Life app (now on Android!) and have been making a few lovely scrapbook pages.

2 – I took steps for my health this week and bought a new pill pot from The Pillow Fort which divides my daily tablets into three sections … hopefully this will stop (or at least prevent) me taking the wrong tablets. Brain fog has a lot to answer for! I also got some stickers and an extra spoon for those low spoon days (If you don’t know about the Spoon Theory you can read about it here).

3 – Another health related post is my lovely new TENS machine. My old one died and, as I use it to help manage my headaches, it is my lifeline. But the new one is so tiny! Look at it here next to my old one that my wonderful friend Rhia gave me a few years back.

4 – Sweep wasn’t left out of the fun this week and had a lovely long run around (with our lovely blackberry wine also in the shot) … until she tried to bury herself between the cushions of the sofa.

5 – I finally got back to doing a little bit of cooking and made pancakes with lemon curd (and melon) for breakfast mmmmm. The lemon curd needs to be cooked for longer next time as it was a little runny, but it was delicious!

6 – Even though I had a few rough days, I made the most and got out my ‘mini home hospital‘ tin that I keep full of fun and simple activities including these hamma beads. Unfortunately just as I nearly finished a pretty flower design I knocked it and the beads all fell off.

7 – And finally another Project Life scrapbook page for my lovely Mum – Happy Mother’s Day!

Hope you’ve had a lovely week!

Yikes just read the spoon theory and I have to say it makes so much sense and is a good way to explain things I think.
Wishing for lots of spoons for you. Those pancakes look lovely 🙂

It’s a very good way – especially for those who find the concept of not having the energy to do something hard to understand. And thank you! ☺

So glad to hear that you are on the road to getting well 🙂 Your pancakes look delicious! I haven’t used Hamma beads for years but I can remember that frustration very well :-0

  3. Happy Birthday to Tarzan. Great to hear you have found some meds to help – even if it’s going to take a while to get there.

  4. Happy Birthday Tarzan! I don’t know what I’d do without my pillbox…load it up every Sunday. We have a similar Tens machine that the hubs uses for knee pain. I just learned about the Spoon Theory. I have fibromyalgia and always tend to push myself…thanks for sharing and I hope you’re feeling better!
