The Sunday Sevens series was created by Nat at Thread and Bobbins to share awesome and exciting things that don’t necessarily deserve a whole post of their own. I have lots and lots I want to share and hopefully this will be the perfect way.
Happy Easter! I know I’m a little late, but we went away with family for a last minute Easter break to Weymouth, Dorset and even though we came home Monday night I’ve needed a few days to rest.
I hope you had a lovely time, full of chocolate and fun! I did ☺ Here are a few photos of my fun Easter, minus the family photos… so just imagine a lot of smiling faces covered with chocolate behind these images!
1 – We had some wonderful weather… in between the rain. Storm Katie didn’t stop us!
2 – We stayed at the Cavendish Guest House where we were made to feel very much at home. Thoroughly recommend this place! I could get used to having egg and bacon sandwiches every morning.
3 – And look at the view from our room! Beautiful. I loved having the window open while we slept and listening to the waves as I went to sleep. It was so relaxing.
4 – The rest of the family were in a house less than a mile away and A snapped this photo on one of our midnight strolls back to the guest house. So peaceful.
5 – I can’t remember which guest house this was in, but we spotted this cute display on Easter Sunday morning.
6 – Easter wouldn’t be complete without an egg hunt! We went to Lulworth Castle for ours and had a quick look round as well. I loved reading about how the Guides helped save the castle’s library books during a fire while they were camping in 1929 by making a chain of girls to pass them along to safety.
7 – Sheep! This was the view from the top of the castle – lots of lovely sheep.
What a great Easter 😀
