A Crochet Summer Top in Time for Summer!

The summer top I shared with you recently is finished. It was finished a while back, but I’m getting awful at updating. In all it took just two weeks. Much better than the two year WIP of my last top. Plus I’ve blocked it and worn it already.

The pattern is called “Design I – Lace Top” and is from Sirdar in a collection that’s unfortunately no longer available. The collection was called Sirdar 305, Crochet Collection, in case you want to check if any are available on ebay? I got it from my local yarn shop a few years back.

I amended the pattern to work in the round, which took some serious concentration when it came to figuring out the arm holes and yoke, and also added a pattern repeat to make it longer. One last amendment I made was to finish all the edgings with a round of double crochet (single crochet in the US). So the pattern is basically the same, except in one piece instead of two.

Wanna see it? Who am I kidding?! Of course you do.

I LOVE it!
